A more polished design for the police mech. My approach was Martian Tripod by way of Boston Dynamics with a corporate police paint job. Doodles of trying to figure out how the police mech looks. Nailed on the 2nd or 3rd try! Its existence is intended to highlight how such things are way closer to us than they seem - weapons designed to inflict maximum damage, aimed down as us the people. First doodle of the more nearby "protestor" which is definitely way more anime protag looking. Maybe too anime protag Making backgrounds in this style is very simple. Keeping a limited palette is the best design choice I made for this reality. The car interior is nothing too fancy or futuristic, how much better can cars really get anyway. Sure there's a marquee that say RIDESHARE ACTIVE and the doors lock from the inside. But it's just a regular ol backseat

The Avatar franchise is a rabbit hole of learning how much work and money went into its production vs what we got out of it. I think it would've been better suited to a pseudo-documentary format like Walking With Dinosaurs or The Future Is Wild instead of a typical hollywood narrative
