Petition: Ban payment processors stopping services based on objections to legal content
Government should legislate that payment processing companies may not place stipulations on use of their services regarding sales of otherwise legal content and, if they do so, must face legal penalties and must remunerate platforms and individuals for lost income until service is restored.

I might regret getting involved in this, but I’m literally begging itch.io to please talk to someone who is good at community management and crisis communication, because Posting Through It in the Replies is just about the worst way to go about this.
A journalist not receiving a response from a company does not absolve them of accurately reporting. We provided her with detailed information about the status of pages yesterday and her/colleague responded by saying we lied. I do not know any reporter who works like this.

It might be time to go back to the only tried and true form of video game distribution: Downloading a shareware version from a dodgy website, mailing a cheque to the creator, then (maybe) receiving the full version on a floppy disk three months later. Like God intended.

As usual when VCS comes up some people in the comments are like, "Why don't they just use #Git, it's so easy!", and can I just say – if you're an average, lightly-to-moderately-technically-challenged person who got into the nice and beginner-friendly #Godot, no, it really isn't.
