When it's my time to go,
I will not go to the bright place above,
Nor the dark place below.

The Rainbow Bridge is calling.

I'll go to be with fur and claw,
With hoof and tail and feathers.
And sometimes, wings.

They are the ones who love.

How Roman society integrated people who altered their bodies and defied gender norms
There may have been fear of gender-diverse people in the ancient world, but they played a crucial role. In Rome, they were viewed as vital to the city’s safety.

It's the Death Days of February, for me. February 1-3, every year. My parents died, just one day apart, but on different years.

Yesterday, my Dad died (2-1-2008).

Tomorrow, my Mom "will" die. (2-3-2015).

I am living in the *in-between* day connecting their passing.

A Ghost Day of sorts.

And here is another one of my old drawings. It literally says July 1985 in my signature block, so this was done in the summer after high school graduation and before my first freshman semester of college. Pen and ink, and colored pencils on paper.

Digging through more of my old art portfolios, I found this color pencil drawing on paper. I have no idea when or what this was supposed to be, but I think this was either late high school or college.

One of my many work-study jobs in college was doing theater graphics for the Pomona College Theatre Department. Here's a final poster I designed for "Top Girls," and the original drawing for the poster of "Our Town" (I can't find the finished poster version.) Pen and ink, rub-on letters, a T-square.

Remembering David Hartwell.
Today is the 9th anniversary of my husband David Hartwell’s fatal fall. Most years, I don’t say much & just share memorial posts by others. But I also think I have been doing grief wrong. This is an attempt to get better at it. www.kathryncramer.com/kathryn_cram...
Til Death Did Us Part
I just awoke from this horrible dream that David Hartwell, my husband, had fallen down the stairs and died. And now that I am fully awake, it is still true, and I am still a widow. It is something tha...

This is highly useful, for egg substitute choices in cooking.
Eggs are scarce again at my house. Might have to give each of these a trial run.

Guten Morgen liebe Welt

A choir is made up of many voices, including yours and mine. If one by one all go silent then all that will be left are the soloists.

Don’t let a loud few determine the nature of the sound. It makes for poor harmony and diminishes the song.-Vera Nazarian

So I made the joyful choice and dragged out the old New Year's Tree this year. I've skipped too many seasons already so decided there was no time better than now to celebrate Living in the Moment. The future is uncertain, and NOW is all we have, so celebrate! 💖✨😊

Opened another old art portfolio, found this oil on canvas. I think I was copying a Michelangelo, and this fragment is an angel with a harp from the Sistine. 😀 The decor around it is all mine, so you can see the sharp style contrast between Michelangelo... and me. LOL! Painted in late HS or college.
