I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

In a recent study by Dr Chan Kin Onn et al., including some of our members, pit vipers of the 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘴-𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴 complex from Myanmar's Ayeyarwady & Yangon regions were found to be a new species.

A very rare and beautiful encounter of a White Central American Eyelash Viper in Costa Rica. It is highly polychromatic, meaning it comes in a variety of colors and patterns. While yellow and brown morphs are common, a white individual like this is a rare sight!

Meet the Sri Lankan Green Pit Viper, a venomous snake found in the rainforests of Sri Lanka. Its green coloration provides excellent camouflage within the foliage. It is not dangerous to humans or poses very little threat!

This is the Mangrove Snake! endemic to Southeast Asia. This mildly venomous species is typically found in mangrove forests. Though capable of inflicting moderate envenomations that cause intense swelling, there have been no confirmed fatalities.
