The biggest impediment with me and people is people who fail to do any type of cursory research before asking questions. I am a big believer in research first then ask questions later. Especially simplistic questions that you can get an answer to almost immediately online. It really infuriates me.

That’s scary. No hope of ever resting in peace for a Mesopotamian ghost. Total bummer. And it gives new meaning to the term ‘living dead.’
Being a ghost in Mesopotamia was unfortunately an extension of living in the most uninspired ways: in addition to gaining the memories and appearance of the living at death, the rulers of the Underworld assigned ghosts jobs, which they toiled at for eternity. #FolkloreSunday

It’s cool that astronomers finally have better technology to further understand black holes. And knowing more about black holes does quell my fears a bit regarding them. The possibility of being pulled into a sensorial obliviousness of infinitely dense matter doesn’t seem too terrifying now.
According to the equations that govern black holes, the larger one of these cosmic behemoths is the lower its average density – given that the universe contains a lot of relatively empty space, could the whole cosmos be a black hole?

Hmmm, very interesting. Instead of the dystopian scare tactics that constantly dominate discussions about climate change, a solarpunk perspective is much more useful in finding innovative solutions.
Animals, fire, water and wood helped humans harvest energy in new ways. These innovations shaped our bodies, cultures, and local environments. With fossil fuels, the impacts became planetary. This “extended biosphere” is an extension of our species.
