True. But people like him should just train the next generation and then graciously step aside so the younger ones have their chance/turn.

I hear you. But in this case age definitely matters. Journalists need to be capable of writing with a relevancy applicable to the current zeitgeist. I doubt an elderly person is still capable of doing that more than a younger one could.

Not to be harsh, but 60 years is too long for any person to stay at a job. They need to step aside in order to let the next generation have a chance. This guy will be fine. And I’m sure he’ll soon appreciate his free time more than he thought he would.

Sounds promising. I could see this helping tremendously for ppl suffering from dementia or alzheimer. Especially since it doesn’t alter brain chemistry but rather stimulates certain regions to encourage healing. Pretty cool.

This could’ve been avoided altogether if NIH didn’t denote racial distinctions when gathering data for this study in the first place.

Why was that a factor to note? It definitely seems very eugenics-focused despite NIH’s assertion that it wasn’t. This was shady “research” from the start.

Very clever.

Hmmm, seems like a slippery slope. But neurotech that’s worn, instead of implanted, could be beneficial for those struggling w/ extreme mental afflictions where typical medicine doesn’t work. Keep it wearable and not implantable, that would be best.

Not gonna waffle it with you, sir. Bye.

No, not that. There’s nothing grand about mindless destruction.

I could see humanoid robots being useful for service industry work, thereby freeing up people in those roles to do grander things. But outside of that I see no other reason for them. Either way, they definitely shouldn’t have a female body shape because that would only increase misogyny.

Interesting article. I’ve always thought of cognitive dissonance as a shaky mental bridge between the ‘id’ and the ‘ego.’ And whenever reality hits too hard, whether due to our actions or beliefs, confirmation bias sneaks in to provide the faulty support needed to keep going.

All of the pics and vids of this “person of interest” are blurry beyond any recognition. They’re never going to find them if these are the best images they have.

Is this a riddle?

It’s ridiculous how much I enjoy this show. The creative direction of ‘The Boys’ series is on the same psychic par as ‘The Simpsons.’ It’s eerily enjoyable in hindsight.

Definitely sounds yummy. 😋

Absolutely. It’s all about portions.

Using an AI news anchor sounds a bit wrong at first, but basically it’s just another talking head— which is what most news anchors have become now. So I doubt the human anchors will genuinely be missed.

It’s gross how people romanticize mental health issues. There’s nothing cool about needing to take antidepressants.
