“We honor her memory by living her values: rejecting hate and choosing compassion, turning away from fear and pursuing peace, refusing division and knowing we must come together to build a world where we all come home safe to the people we love.”
"I am now left to raise our son and to continue teaching him, as Renee believed, that there are people building a better world for him. That the people who did this had fear and anger in their hearts, and we need to show them a better way." www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

74% of Democrats support abolishing ICE, with 53% *strongly* supporting it, according to YouGov polling from last month.

Weak calls for "reform" are coming from *elected* Democrats like Chuck, not the average Democratic voter.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

Aliya Rahman is the bravest person I have ever seen. This testimony needs to be seen by every single person in America

Remember her name: Aliya Rahman

Her testimony is everything and it deserves to be heard, by everyone. Decide for yourself.

It’s powerful. It’s gut-wrenching. And no one should have to survive what she did.

ICE MUST GO‼️

Reading Dungeons and Dragons posts can go from “look at this cool battle map I made” to “I need advice on how to get over my paralyzing social anxiety and I will bitterly argue with every single answer given to me” real fast

The worst thing about going to a barbershop that caters to men is having to listen to men do small talk. This guy who is rewatching Billions needs to learn how to hold a conversation without using the word “fuckin’” so much imo

Thinkin about Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2… great games, great characters. I need to replay BG2 especially because of my feelings about the big bad evil guy, Jon Irenicus. I fucking hate that guy with my life. I *think* he is a poor villain but years later he’s still on my mind so they did something right

Keep thinking back to this movie. Dr. Ian Kelson is hands-down one of my favorite new characters in fiction in a long time. I felt that way after 28 Years Later (2025) and The Bone Temple only cemented it for me. Radical empathy in the face of horror and violence, it’s a beautiful thing
The Bone Temple FUCKING GOOD!!!

He's directing traffic. He steps inbetween ICE and two women who are being harrassed by them (one of whom was shoved to the ground for no reason), raises his hands and turns away from them and says "Okay! Okay!" to indicate he isn't going to be aggressive, at which point they start with pepper spray
He was helping direct traffic when federal authorities approached him. Less than a minute later he was dead.

It’s just beyond belief what is happening. Not only that it is happening, but that there are people who support it. It hurts the head and the heart

Q: Can I bring you back to Greenland?

LUTNICK: No. It's not necessary. The Western Hemisphere is vital for the United States of America.

All the ways in one story the Times avoids calling Trump’s statements lies:

“falsehoods,” “baseless claims,” “overstated boasts,” distortions,” “inaccurate claims,” “exaggerations,” “inaccurate superlatives.”
