If today I were interested in infiltrating a secular gov’t (ie a Canadian provincial gov’t) with the values of my fringe sect of Christianity, I’d probably pick Alberta.
I can’t fathom holding a gov’t to account only to have a minister justify their decision as having been the will of their god.

The fire has grown to the 35 hectares.
A forest fire is currently considered out-of-control about 11km outside Douglastown in Miramichi.
Five hectares have burned and the Department of Natural Resources said the fire is currently being knocked down.
"There are no homes threatened and we do not anticipate containment problems."

I wonder if Prime Minister Carney is considering inviting members of the opposition into cabinet. It’s not unheard of. I wonder if such a move would be helpful in promoting unity. If so, I wonder which MPs might be best suited for any given portfolio.

When I was younger, I was pretty indifferent to this song. Now, the more I hear it, the more I like it.
Always known that things like Xmas lights are SUPER cheap & of poor quality. I was at peace with this. But as quality goes, the relentless race to the bottom never ceases to amaze me. I feel your pain. And it’s not like half of my strings have stopped working - it’s half of the light each string!
There’s nothing quite like pulling out a set of Noma Christmas lights that were working when they were carefully packed into storage only to find them half dead after a futile attempt to change the fuse and damaged bulbs
