I am not doing this out of obligation for a long time.... fun only, maybe commissions eventually, but holy fuck my brain is not doing well when I'm irritated at a project: It CAN turn out fine but this is not the time to create more stress for myself. Mom insisted on adding foxes. YW.

Goddam it's hard to listen to the pronunciation differences in The Wheel of Time auidobooks between Rosamind Pike for THE FIRST 4 BOOKS then suddenly Kate Reading and Michael Kramer... like they're great, not nearly as broad a range of accents and attitudes for reading various characters HOWEVER...

Who else has to drop your project mid-idea just to keep from overworking the whole thing?? Ugh. Way behind on shipping this thank-you holiday gift aannndd.... I'm mad at it. Going to bed, touching up later. I tend to go TOO quickly with acrylics instead of layering shades... stretching with water>_>
Can't get it to turn properly...sorry. Trees over water at sunrise. Paints got way too muddy. Finishing later. Stage 2 after placing tree trunks and roots, where the land meets the water... like it way better at stage 1. Green deciduous trees around a body of water at sunrise, acrylic on paper. Ah, the muse. I loved the beginning here, damn thing got away from me. Ugh. Stage 1 of acrylic painting that turned into muddy watercolor later. Tree trunks are spooky and thin, water and sky have yet to be separated by a horizon. Eerie burnt umber yellows and grays with darker brown edges of roots and the beginnings of a bank along the water.

"The great hunt". Illustration piece I did for Paul Scott Canavan's mentorship. It represents an haunt scene, the hunter is mounting a big white tiger with piercing white eyes -sign that she's blind- which is roaring as she's sprinting through the action. The hunter has heavy clothing on, inspired by the Mongolian and Slavic clothing. He has long black hair moved by the wind, and he's holding a sword in his hand, ready to defend his wood. The environment is a snowy wood, old trees and branches all around the scene, as the white snow covers them. The sun is setting, and the overall atmosphere looks pinkish, lightened by the lights of the time of the day. Pink, yellow and blue shading on the sky, as the clouds move, forming interesting shapes. Illustration I made for S.A. Harian's book Briardark. The scene is showing a young woman wearing a blue coat lost in an heavy atmospheric forest in which the trees tangles with each other and the roots are everywhere on the ground. The woman is sitting - knees down - on the grass, the look on her face seems scared and hurt while she tries to extract a glow arrow from her chest, dripping blood as she's looking at the viewer, terrified. Next to her, on the grass, there's a bloody knife almost hidden. Illustration I made for S.A. Harian's book Briardark. The image is showing a deer skull in a central composition, with songbirds on its horns. The songbirds are chirping and flying around, with white flowers and climbing plants intertwined around it.
