I've covered a lot of protests: Save Albert Park, Richmond Secondary College, the 98 waterfront dispute.
Some were rugged affairs.
Shields, batons, horses.
But I don't remember punching.
3 or 4 officers laying into a pinned victim with fists.
Without uniforms, there'd be jail terms.

To be clear, not one single person sincerely believes that "from the river to the sea" is a genocidal or antisemitic slogan. They're just pretending to believe that in order to get new laws passed which crush free speech that is critical of a genocidal apartheid state.

If you consider yourself a climate and environmental/biodiversity advocate and your writing doesn’t frequently include “end fossil fuels” and “protect habitat” or similar then I respectfully suggest you’re lost down a 🐇 🕳️ someone else has dug for you or trapped in your own navel lint. 😞
