people on the right don’t tend to wait for any information about the motivations of the shooter before blaming the left. But Kirk had enemies on the right too; some of them surely live in Utah. And as with any shooting, the shooter’s motivations may not map onto any coherent politics at all.

Watching parade on CSPAN and it is strangely listless and vaguely pathetic. Trump has no energy and is flanked by crash test dummies Hegseth and Melania. Also, parade seems strangely disproportionately white. Flat. Slow. Canned commentary is dull as dust.
