Check out these fresh Collects for Christmas! I expect to finish all the collects for our breviary in 2025 (English and French) and make good progress on our invocations and petitions. There are a lot of words in a breviary.
Let us pray.

These are the Urban Monastic Collects for #Christmas. The first is for the evening of Christmas Eve. The second for Christmas Morning. And the Third is for the the rest of Christmas day and evening!

This is so good. Needed it today.

"When the shadows have come and the world has gone cold, Jesus is with you. He is there. He cares for you. He will never leave you. No matter what you’ve done or how you live your life, He is there and loves you. His light will not flicker, nor His love fade." 🔥🔥🔥
A Meditation for our fourth week of #Advent: Eternal Light, our Christ

Our Christ was born into a world that was far from perfect. He illuminates the darkness and stands apart in shadows. Jesus, the light eternal, come to us when our lives are far from perfect.

A Meditation for the Second week of #Advent: Carrying Christ

Mary found tremendous favor in the Lord’s eyes. Invited to carry Jesus into creation. The call to follow Christ is likewise a call to carry Him, and his kingdom within ourselves, and our world.

I'm not sure what it means that the very first meeting of Urban Monastics occurred on the same day that the first case of Covid was identified in Wuhan. I do know that it dramatically shifted what we have become in scale and hope that I would not have believed 7 years ago. For that I am grateful.
6 years today the first COVID case was identified in a man in Wuhan marking the beginning of a global pandemic that changed the world. We are way less prepared today to face another pandemic than we were back then. This fact makes me sad.
