Statement from Anika Bowie, Saint Paul City Council Member and Wife of Jamael Lundy At 6:15 a.m. this morning, my husband and I were violently awakened by the sight of multiple heavily armed federal agents at our home. To watch my husband, Jamael Lundy, taken into custody in such a militarized and traumatic manner is something no family should ever have to endure. Let me be clear: I stand firmly with my husband. I know his character. I know his heart. And I maintain his innocence. What happened this morning was not about public safety. It was about intimidation. It was about punishment. And it was about sending a message to those who dare to speak out against injustice. This moment fits a deeply troubling pattern we are seeing across the country - the use of federal power to silence dissent, to target political leaders, and to criminalize those who stand up for their communities. My husband has spent his life organizing, serving, and advocating for dignity, fairness, and opportunity for all families. That commitment should not make someone a target. I want our community to hear this clearly: we will remain peaceful, but we will not be silent. a review of "enough is a myth" by Everson Poe on the tranny review: Everson Poe’s Hellraiser (2022)-inspired album strikes its emotionally resonant chords in a haunting, often operatic fashion. The effect of Thia Mathes’s sailing vocals over the crackling, heavier synth and instrumentation from Mae Shults (the primary artist behind Everson Poe) is remarkably evocative of the themes and theses central to the Hellraiser series: insidious temptations, a blend of ecstatic pleasure and pain, unfulfilled desire and promises, and a lot of hooks in soft flesh. Much of the album’s tension comes from an enigmatic ‘gift’ offered to the speaker, rejected cyclically between bouts of desire, addiction, and horror. The album is properly gargantuan, a leviathan in its own right, and truly impressive for the scope of its thematic and musical reach.

The handle is made of sapwood so the rippling effect is echoed there in the dark grain of the wood set up right against a light grain running the length of the handle. A tiny embossed logo near the hilt has a hand throwing the horns with a small star between the raised index and pinkie fingers. A hand holds a knife against a grassy background. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.
