Whenever I see that photo of Andrew in the car I am reminded of the iconic image of Allan Gray's out of body experience in Carl Theodor Dreyer's 'Vampyr'.

Getting right stuck in my clack that news outlets are saying Andrew MW's arrest is "unprecedented". Chuck The First was arrested in 1647. So, precedent right there.

I did have a hearty chuckle that Andrew was arrested on his birthday.

We are currently having our gutters and windows cleaned.
Oh my foolish optimism that our windows won't be once again salt - encrusted by midnight.

We binged this last night. Subtitled, but the dubbed version is also really good (for once).
This is based on the true story of Jolanta Wadowska-Król, a Polish pediatrician who exposed an epidemic in children in 1970s Communist Poland amid the risks of both environmental and political toxicity.

Met Eireann's Dublin radar has been offline most of this week and still is. No one seems to have mentioned it.
Presumably forecasting now consists of calling someone in Dunquin then Roscommon. Nothing wrong with that, except if you ask a *person* "is the rain heavy?" answers will vary dramatically.

While sitting in flood - delayed traffic I just shouted " don't you bloody DARE!" as wet snow started to dot my windscreen.
Then this came up on shuffle. Funnnneeee.

Look at this fucking knob.
Largest deregulation in US history.
He doesn't mind helping to kill off the planet OR helping people kill each other with semi - automatics. No regulation there! What a guy.

Is this a fail-safe ploy to kill the sharks he hates so much?

Crikey, the drama! I tell you what, those biathletes are the opposite of the usual rather earnest "I just want to give it my best shot" sports-types. But then I suppose if your sport involves cross - country skiing and being a crack shot then you'll not be one for crochet and ovaltine.

Did some magically predestined number of people say "sexual predator" at the same time and it summoned Neil Gaiman back on to the Internet?

Q. Who is she protecting?
A. Ghislaine is likely protecting herself from a cellmate causing her to get her neck caught in her bedding.
Q. Why is she in a "nice" low security prison?
A. They have fitted sheets? They barely go on the bed, never mind form a noose.

I spent the afternoon in butch pursuits: taking down part of our front garden wall with a masonry blade on a reciprocating saw. It was *extremely* satisfying.

That font also makes it look like it's being performed in the village hall by the Sowford-le-Hole Dramatic Society, starring Dr Herbert Halfbottom as Heathcliffe (in his post-retirement debut, according to the parish newsletter) and Mrs Horatia Wyndblowne-Cardygan as Cathy.
I don’t know why it’s in quotes on its own poster. It makes it look like a film called Margot Robbie that’s been described as “Wuthering Heights” - The Guardian.

Anyway, there's no point crying over spilt blood when the shepherds delight and the rolling stone has a bird in the hand.
I'm off today and I'm now breaking my fast listening to this and watching the rain fall on the ravening birds in the garden.

Annual check up today. Heard "and we're adding this blood test" because you're over 55 now" just a few times too often. Only just >55, doc!
Although I will shortly know how likely it would be that I'd have a cardiac incident in the next ten years, so that is... peace of mind? I'm assuming?

It might be hoofing down rain again but after 6 years the Daphne (odora Aureomarginata) is finally flowering all over instead of in little clusters. And it smells amazing, exhaling its delicate scent even in the rain.
