A gritty digitally drawn portrait of Sol Badguy smoking and glaring down his nose at the viewer. It's colored in shades of light yellow, scarlet, and dark purple. The greyscale version of the drawing and the uncolored/unshaded inks are imposed to the sides of the colored one. Text in the bottom right reads: I colored this one with gradient map layers and adjustment layers. There's not much going on with it besides that though. I used a bunch of gritty texture brushes that I never use, especially for the background. A digitally colored ballpoint pen sketch of Sol Badguy in a non-canon interpretation of his dragon install monster form. The uncolored sketch is imposed slightly behind the colored version to the right. Text in the bottom left reads: This was inspired by cool fanart depictions of Go Nagai's Devilman where they go super off-model and make him look all badass and stuff. This was done injust ballpoint pen (Pentel RSVP and Pentel Floatune. no pencil undersketch) with some Pentel pocket brush and white gel pen before scanning. Simple colors added in CSP. A mixed media illustration of Order Sol standing in front of steaming clouds with a pink sun setting into a green horizon. He rests one hand on his sword while the other, clawed and glowing, hangs behind him. A panel to his left shows cross-shaped neon green headstones at various tilting angles. A horizontal panel at the bottom has three roaring dragons, each with three eyes, in a row with the leftmost one biting a small pink sun. The palette of the piece is mostly shades of purple, pink, and orange. Various rough thumbnails, sketches, and the uncolored line art of the previous image laid out on a white page. Text in the bottom left reads: The first sketch for this was done fop one of the three "Day 15" rough pen sketches on printer paper but I liked the idea of this one and wanted to push it further. Top left sketch is the original day 15 thumbnail, top right is another iteration cleaning up some details that were vague (hand) and figuring out the cloth folds fop turning it into Order Sol. The smaller series of sketches above this text were to decide what to put in little detail boxes around the composition. The thumbnails all done with ballpoint pens on copy paper and the final inks were with a fineliner on 9x12" (22.8x30.4cm) smooth bristol board. Digital colors.
