Game dev can be just a hobbie, and that's ok. I used to be a pretty good skateboarder. Did i ever try and go pro? Nope, but i enjoyed skateboarding. Don't let the market get you down, someone will love your game. And AI? Fuck AI. Make games without it for the sake of saying fuck AI.
