A better view of our "Honk For Democracy" banner, attached to the stop sign to better hold up with how windy of a day it was in Oak Ridge, TN while this protest was happening. Every noon to 2pm by the library on Saturdays in Oak Ridge. The line of protesters is visible in the background, as well as the box truck for David Miller. A picture of the line of protesters between the sidewalk and the road, sidewalk visible. Many leaves on the ground, it is clearly late fall and anyone walking through the leaf covered grass would be crunching their way through the leaves. I'm the foreground, there is a billboard style poster that says, "What's the big secret fellas?" On the left with a labeled photo of Trump looking at Jeffrey Epstein. A similar photo to the previous one, just further down the line where we are past the tree with the billboard style sign. There's a group of people on the tree side of the sidewalk near the Southern Resistance Coalition information table, with a sign leaning against the cooler which reads, "All of my outrage won't fit on one sign." How the SRC Veterans Day #fooddrive went: So many thoughtful donations (not just food but hand warmers, toilet paper, cleaning supplies-we had $155 😍
Oh, and we were able to give a bag of food to 2 veterans and a young family as well.
Thanks to all who came out to dropped off donations 😎

If we were a Republic functioning as intended with separation of powers, checks & balances, House Oversight would be conducting an investigation into the Zhao pardon that Trump doesn’t remember, his involvement with Trump’s crypto company, & the foreign investors. But we aren’t.

3 protesters joined us today all the way from Cocke County, along with their puppy Jack. One gentlemen is leaning against his car, holding the dog's leash. A woman is holding a sign and an American flag. Another woman is holding a tambourine, wearing a hat, and wearing bunny ears on top of the hat, her back is to the camera. A line of protesters outside the Townsend entrance to GSMNP. The one in front is dressed in a giant yellow with red inflatable chicken suit. Fall leave colors are near peak with plenty of orange, red, and bare trees visible. Another photo from the opposite end of the line of protesters. The one in front is holding a large banner with an older design of a parks sign, it says Protect Our Parks. Protesters sitting by their vehicles, holding signs and American and pride flags. This group is inclusive of all Americans. Because all means y'all! Join us Saturday in front of the Oak Ridge Library from 12-2pm to exercise your First Amendment rights. If you're able, bring a non-perishable food donation for our neighbors losing SNAP benefits due to the shutdown. Hey coalition, If you've been paying attention to the news this week you know we're coming up on a crucial day for nearly 700,000 Tennesseans and millions of people nationwide. Unless something monumental happens today, SNAP benefits will not go out in November. To be clear, this is a really big deal. 1 in 8 Americans receives supplemental nutrition assistance (aka $ for food) every month, averaging $6.17 per person per day to be spent on groceries. That might not sound like a lot, but it can easily mean the difference between a healthy meal or not.
