At least from the reports on who they are carrying over, Alford and Coombs are two long-term Ohio guys and Esposito the DL coach has been coaching in Michigan since 2010. So not totally bereft.
Gonna be a little weird to see how Michigan recruits the midwest with a coaching staff full of Utah and BYU people, but I guess that doesn't really matter that much anymore in the portal/rev-share era?

No bigger beneficiary of expanded playoff than Ryan Day. Hasn't won a Big Ten title in a normal year since 2019. Boosters would have rocketed him into the sun if last year's Michigan loss had knocked OSU out.
