Fentanyl. Drug Overdoses, including Fentanyl, are not even in the top 20 causes of death in the USA. Cancer, Diabetes, Covid, Heart Disease all in the top 10, and all have had their research funding cut. They aren't murdering just Venezuelans. However they are killing us much slower.

👀 Scoop: IRS Direct File, the free government-backed program that let you file your taxes for free, is dead.

IRS wrote to state tax agencies saying it would not be operational this coming tax season, per records I've obtained.

The tax agency has quietly built its own prototype system for filing tax returns digitally and free of charge, according to current and former officials.

This is the crux of the problem. Wage stagnation means people can't even afford food and basic living necessities. Corporate America needs to do better by their workers.
Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

Due to the continued pressure of the government shutdown, cracks in the Trump administration's and House Republicans' arguments are happening. Unfortunately, it has come at the cost of food for Americans who desperately need it.
Two federal courts confirm what we already knew:

Trump must use contingency funds to fund SNAP this month.

But millions will still see their benefits delayed because Trump tried to hold SNAP hostage.

No more games. Use all available resources to ensure no one goes hungry.
