In normal times, it would be a major scandal for the President to direct his AG to criminally investigate his political opponents to deflect from his own involvement in a major scandal — and for the AG to immediately announce she is doing it. The Epstein scandal and cover up just got even bigger.

This from the guy that could have easily stopped RFK jr from killing many of us, but he didn’t.

And now he wants me to believe that killing the ACA w/o offering anything close to a viable concept, let alone a real plan, is a good path to go on.
Cassidy’s plan is DOA. You can’t kill ACA subsidies and protections and magically “lower costs.” The math doesn’t work, the CBO has shredded this before, every major medical group opposes it, and even the GOP couldn’t pass this in 2017. It’s fantasy dressed as policy.

Caitlin Collins automatically disqualifies herself as a serious journalist when her question begins with “Scott Jennings brought up……”.

To use anything that comes out of Scott Jennings mouth as worthy of a follow up just means you are not serious about standards in your profession.
"The reason why this is of concern, is—he's the president of the United States, he's been found in another case by a civil jury to have been liable for sexually abusing a woman in a department store, he's a convicted felon, and he's had dozens of women accuse him of sexual abuse."

I’m shocked - shocked - to find that Kristi Noem is more than a tad corrupt.

This old white man is just tired of old white men in politics.
Tom Emmer: "Look at Minnesota. Before the ACA, Minnesota had 94% of our citizens covered under some form of insurance. Since the ACA has been passed, they're going to use statistics to say we got more people across the country insured, but they're getting less for the insurance."

Megyn Kelly, Charlie Kirk, Elon Musk, Felon47 — a through-line with this group (and most of the others in the MAGA cult) is a lack of empathy.

A psychologist at Nuremberg noted that a lack of empathy was a common trait among the defendants. And that a lack of empathy is a good definition of evil.
Megyn Kelly is not just problematic in her defense of Trump and Epstein…she is emblematic of the decline in humanity infesting the Republican Party. The double standard for the definition of a child. The excuses…the rot at the center of the GOP.

We inherited” is the new “but her emails.” They take responsibility for nothing. Who deported workers in the food production industry? Who imposed massive tariffs on finished goods, agricultural products. and raw materials? Who promised to lower prices “on day one”?

I’v said it before and I’ll say it again - Megyn Kelly is a disgustingly vile person.
To all the weirdos defending Megyn Kelly: 15 year olds are underage, and that is statutory rape.

Pretty simple

This video has made the rounds on social media for some time now - but it’s still spot on.
And yet they still don’t get it. And let’s be real “Christians” actually ignore most of their book too. Because there is no hypocrisy quite like Christian hypocrisy.

You know what else is a drain on taxpayer resources - a pedophile-enabling, minimally-intelligent, globally-clueless, unempathetic Secretary of State named Marco Rubio.
Marco Rubio says U.S. visas can be denied for obesity, diabetes, cancer, and even retirement age because those people might “drain taxpayer resources. Amazing how that concern disappears when they’re blowing millions on luxury travel, parties, and renovations.

What an easy governing philosophy Republicans have. Just blame every problem on Biden, Democrats, and migrants. Then you never have to solve anything and can blame all your failures on other people. This is especially useful when you are grossly unqualified for your position.

MTG should run for higher offices more often. She almost comes across as an empathetic human being.

I said almost.
Marjorie Taylor Greene argues that telling people prices have come down “gaslights” them. She says Americans know what they’re paying—at the grocery store, for their kids’ clothes, for electricity—and deserve compassion, not lectures or denial about what they’re experiencing.

JD gets easily confused these days Immigrants are building the houses - not buying them.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Yep - it’s got to be bottom up. We have to replace the corporate politicians with those not beholden to the big-dollar donors. Politicians need to fear the average citizen more than they do Jeff Bezos and company.
Civil society has to hold together and pull forward until the Democratic Party changes. It makes no sense to wait for the Democrats as a party. What makes sense is shifting the ground underneath them.
From street marches to court battles to the ballot box - we’ve challenged the power of this exceptionally unpopular president.

The lesson from each success we've had is that we need to ramp the political pressure up, always up, not back down, now more than ever.

Or - as we say in my neck of the woods - shit or get off the pot.
It’s obvious now and everyone knows it. Trump is associated with Epstein and protecting Ghislane Maxwell to protect himself. Every Republican now has a choice, pick a side. No middle ground. Support or oppose trafficking

If/when we ever get out of this MAGA dive into fascism and idiocy, we will need a “moonshot” education program in K-12 schools to teach civics, financial literacy, critical thinking, and logic.

Otherwise, it’s just wash, rinse, repeat.
Whether he knows how insurance works, is lying, or just doesn’t care, is irrelevant because rank and file MAGA has no fucking idea how insurance works.

This article is utterly damning for the New York Times and also for Vanity Fair and ABC, whose editorial teams were apparently intimidated into silence by a mix of legal and violent threats. Virginia Giuffre did not stand a chance against all this.
This story by @davidfolkenflik.bsky.social about Landon Thomas, former NYT reporter now appearing in the latest email tranche, soliciting a $30k contribution from Jeffrey Epstein?

Yes, you can read it here
