So very, very proud of @scotthandcock1984.bsky.social for being such an integral part of The War Between team.

Loving the quality of the blu ray New Avengers but so disappointed they have the wrong title sequences

I dont understand this current crop of tv ads for Argos. Surely absolutely no one with an IQ above 2 has ever thought you can buy only toys from Argos. Basically the ads are just saying the company believe their customers are bloody morons, which seems a pretty silly thing to do just before xmas …

Honestly can't overstate how important this book is to me both as a research tool and as inspiration. It's exactly how you should approach such a huge subject - exhaustive, objective and rigorously factual with positive thoughts about even his least works.

Jack Sheperd’s Renfield in the BBC’s Count Dracula (you know, the Louis Jordan one) is my fav interpretation of thr character and I always enjoyed the actor’s work after that (Wycliffe was sublime). RIP Jack, you’ll be missed

Somehow I never got into Living in a Box so my first encounter with Richard Darbyshire was his cover of Early in the Morning for BEF’s Music of Quality and Distinction. Then I tracked down his solo album cos I loved his voice and saw him live a couple of times. Amazing singer. RIP.

Best Asterix story in years. The puns are better than ever and it feels like these are really back on track with this and White Iris a couple of years back. Hooray for Fabcaro and Conrad and of course Adriana Hunter!

She was my goddess and I loved her xxx
Remembering Maggie Stables who passed away 26th September 2014. I thought she was a great actress and wonderful as Evelyn in the @bigfinish.bsky.social Sixth Doctor stories. ‘Doctor Who and the Pirates’ and ‘The Spectre of Lanyon Moor’ are my favourites.

As times get weird, there's a Doctor Who audio drama from 2002 that I think about a lot called Neverland.

In it the Doctor discovers that his own people, the Time Lords, used to have a method of execution called "the Oubliette of Eternity" which erases the convicted person from time completely.

The Sundance Kid was how I first saw him on film and adored him but it was as Bob Woodward in All the President's Men I realised what a damn good actor he was. RIP Mr Redford.
