Over 73,000 people are currently in ICE custody, the most ever...

But that's not the only shocking number:

- There has been a 2,450% increase in the number of people with no criminal record being held in ICE detention on any given day.

The NBA has Portland at a distinct disadvantage. With employment and business activity down and its national reputation damaged, the city can ill-afford to lose a major franchise.

Portland -- and MultCo, and the state -- do have leverage. It'll be interesting how and if they coordinate to use it.
The Trail Blazers' efforts to secure $600 million in public funding for arena renovations seen as essential to keeping the team in Portland have hit a snag.

New tonight as as the team faces a shrinking window at the Oregon Legislature:

Is the subscription era ending?

When AI makes building cheaper than buying, why pay monthly forever when you could build once and own it?

I really wonder how software monetization is going to change with more advanced AI that can build faster and cheaper than ever before.

There are, obviously, dudes who are “tech bros”. But the vast majority of people in tech are decent & thoughtful, and just can’t speak up because they work in an industry now run by vocal fascists, which wasn’t the case when they joined. Most video game workers just joined because they love games.
