"Specialization is for Insects" -Heinlein

Sourced, factual debate is fine, but my drama tolerance?

Zero.
Did only the all ages show today -- 4 - 6:45pm.

Used to doing the late one, so coming back early was novel -- I had a honey garlic ginger chicken crockpot dish waiting and it was great.

Apparently Blood of Zeus is extremely good.

Could not get an inch of Mrs. T's time while she was watching.

The lines for physical abuse are really obvious but the lines for emotional abuse are far less so.

It took a long time for me to break out from the manipulation and punitive upbringing I had.

My mom didn't mean it, she was herself the victim of the abuse, and with 4 kids: In over her head.
Effects of Emotional Abuse on Your Brain, Relationships, and Health
Even if you're not aware of it, emotional abuse can impact your body and mind. These are short- and long-term effects of emotional and psychological abuse.

JD Vance owns a company that buys American real estate and sells it to foreign investors. They specifically target Americans in crisis to buy their property for less than it is worth.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

The right wing propaganda machine is literally saying "raping a 15 year old is OK, they are almost a consenting adult" in preparation for the release of the Epstein Files.

Take a step back and look at what you are supporting and reflect on your choices.

Giving the rumblings going on right now -- I have a feeling this Friday is going to ruin the F5 key on a whole lot of keyboards.

A little geomagnetic storm action from around the ol’ domicile.

#NorthernLights (well, barely)

Light pollution and cloud cover conspire against shots from home, but the fact I can see it (with digital assistance) is nice enough.

On the way north for Monday Night Foozball, meeting the rest of crew in Manitowoc.

Which sounds like a magic word

Here are a slew of pictures from the weekend that aren’t politics or cartoons.

I’m trying to make a meal a week with a decent amount of ginger in it (for various reasons but it’s delicious and Mrs. T loves it)

If anyone has a real solid #ginger heavy #recipe or #recipes I am all eyes

I’ll share the ones I try that work well (that are from recipes, this last week was made up)

Two interviews next week, both in IAM things so that's a plus.

Paid DM gig looks unlikely (the program coordinator has been asked to get back to me twice, it has been two weeks, not a word) -- red flags a-plenty.

In general: A terrible time to be hunting.

IQ47 is gaslighting America.

"Walmart's thanksgiving is 25% cheaper this year!"

Sure, because they took out two full pies, can give you less turkey (10lb - 16lb is quite the range) and changed everything to generic.

It's 25% cheaper cuz it's at least 30% less AND generic.

Q: Food prices are still going up. Grocery prices are still going up. How do you respond?

MIKE JOHNSON: All of the economist have shown that food prices always go up. There's an inflationary level that's built in to grocery prices.

The struggle continues.

Interview next week, possibly two more.

Read a study that job “creation” was flat in the Trump economy with the shut down.

SCOTUS was hearing arguments on IQ47’s illegal tariffs.

Very low doubt they will rule them legal despite lack of congressional anything.

I want to celebrate but I know that the Reich will use this as an excuse to do terrible things.

I know this will cause them to redouble their efforts to rig the midterms and/or ignore the results if they don't like them.

Is it cynical when they're already doing a lot of these things already?!

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

Tomorrow and the coming weeks are going to be rough.

The Reich is going to be saying even more lies.

NYC is likely to see troop deployments under false pretenses soon.

Election Denial is going to be on double blast and with foreign assistance from the usual suspects.

The originally used It Came from the Headlines logo was an homage to 50s and 60s Sci-Fi films and pulp novels which seemed appropriate for the name.

As this is sort of a reboot:
I decided that I'd shoot for a more 80s B-movie look this time around.

Similar concept, but with more polish!

Wrangling cats today while we have fixers over to deal with some basement shenanigans from a rainstorm almost 2 months ago.

Anxiety provoking but must be done.
