#OnThisDay 1990 : A major storm known as the Burns Day Storm had progressed through the UK.

Impacts of this storm were greater than the Great Storm of 1987 because the storm hit UK during daytime hours.

Weather still Oracle grab Gale Death Roll Rises to 45 The number of people killed in storms which swept Britain has risen to 45 - more than double the death toll in the 1987 hurricane. A huge clean up operation is under way after hurricane-force windws and heavy rain swept the coutnry, claiming victims frmo London to Cleveland.

OUR NEMESIS! Actually, that's just for comic effect. We still see Bamber and say hello to him, usually at the clinic and then at the pharmacy later that day. We never shake his hand though, due to health reasons.
