This week's art prompt a woodland creature playing an instrument. Thought of my friend the birder and her nemesis bird. She used to play percussion back in high school.

I have so fallen in love with printmaking. I'm excited because I'm gonna get to try selling my pieces where I learned how to do the process. We'll see how it goes!

Got to work on some prints last night. The Art Dept in Temple has a Drink and Draw on Thursday nights and I've left them to dry. The person who taught my print class even wants one of my prints!

Reminder: They're trying to demoralize you, and they're doing a great job of it. Part of resisting is making time for joy despite the attempts to make you feel this is not the time for it. Love your people. Dig the art that speaks to you. Go to the places where life flows into you. You deserve joy.

Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.
