We have a hidden metric for drivers that tracks how desperate they are for cash based on their acceptance behavior. If a driver usually logs on at 10 PM and accepts every garbage $3 order instantly without hesitation, the algo tags them as "High Desperation." Once they are tagged, the system then deliberately stops showing them high-paying orders. The logic is: "Why pay this guy $15 for a run when we know he’s desperate enough to do it for $6?" We save the good tips for the "casual" drivers to hook them in and gamify their experience, while the full-timers get grinded into dust.”

The only time you will ever find them are at one out of every seven parties you go to and you will never know who brought them. Gustopher: I'm going to try all the snacks! Olivia: I'm going to shout louder than anyone! Panel 3 Gustopher and Olivia: THIS WILL BE THE BEST NIGHT EVER! Panel 4 Time has passed and Gustopher and Olivia have passed out from exhaustion. They have spent all their energy being excited for New Year's Eve that they didn't save any to actually stay awake. Their parents have wrapped them in blankets to make sure they're extra cozy. Ember has snuck onto the couch between them and is digging through the snack bowl. The Adults: THREE... TWO... ONE... HAPPY NEW YEAR! Ember: My snack! Ember proceeds to eat what remains of the snacks and stays up for an additional three hours.

As if artists don't have enough to deal with, Amazon has a "Buy For Me" program in beta which is scraping indie shops for their items and putting them up on Amazon (often incorrectly), for their "AI agent" to buy from the other site. It is NOT opt in, and there is no opt out.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.
