Recent aircraft reconnaissance data indicates that #Invest99L still has not developed a closed circulation. The tropical wave will bring heavy rain and gusty winds to the #WindwardIslands over the next couple of days before dissipating over the #Caribbean Sea later this week.
August 24, 2025 at 8:45 PM
A newly formed tropical depression (#10E) is expected to gradually strengthen as it moves west-northwestward away from southwestern #Mexico over the next couple of days. This system will reach unfavorably cooler waters and weaken later this week.
August 24, 2025 at 8:44 PM
Tropical Storm #Fernand is gradually strengthening as it passes well to the east of #Bermuda this afternoon. Further intensification is possible as the storm remains over warmer waters over the next day or so. The storm will enter a less favorable environment on Tuesday and will weaken.
August 24, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Typhoon #Kajiki has likely reached its peak intensity after passing to the southwest of the Chinese island of #Hainan on Monday morning. Cooler waters near the coast of #Vietnam will cause the storm to weaken further before it makes landfall later this afternoon.
August 24, 2025 at 8:41 PM
Meanwhile, #Invest90W has made landfall over #Luzon in the northern #Philippines this evening. Environmental conditions appear to be supportive of tropical cyclone development once the disturbance emerges over the South China Sea overnight.

#Erin continues to produce a very large wind field, which is only expected to continue to expand as it becomes an extratropical cyclone this weekend. Life-threatening surf and rip currents will continue along the U.S. East Coast, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Atlantic Canada through next week.

Satellite imagery analysis reveals that Hurricane #Erin is undergoing extratropical transition as it passes to the east of New England this morning. Strong southwesterly shear has exposed its circulation and cold air is rushing in behind the storm.

Tropical Storm #Erin will gradually turn west-northwestward as it moves along the base of a subtropical ridge this week. By the weekend, a break in the ridge will form east of the #Bahamas, allowing Erin to turn northwestward to north-northwestward.
August 14, 2025 at 5:42 AM
Tropical Storm #Erin is gradually becoming better organized as it continues westward across the tropical #Atlantic. The storm is expected to strengthen as it moves over warmer waters and encounters weaker vertical wind shear.
