Possibly unpopular opinion but I think tenure should be revokable when you express bigotry toward the immutable characteristics of part of your student body. Such as saying women are naturally not as good at science and engineering. How many young women students has he harmed since saying that?
2/2 Summers did some disgusting predatory stuff. It's genuinely not clear to me whether it would legitimately be grounds for tenure revocation. But I would hope that folks at Harvard are looking into it.

In my town it’s mostly the choir director ran away with the pastor that busts up the churches.
I had extended family I used to see every week that I didn't speak to for a decade after my church split over whether members could own a VCR. And we all lived in the same very small town.
Folks, if you didn’t grow up in a low-church American evangelical/fundamentalist baptist or Bible church you have no idea how easy it is for factions to split a church, excommunicate each other, and how that informs the coming schism in Republican politics.

This explains why Trump changed his stance on releasing the files from “No, no, it’s a hoax” & pressuring representatives in the Situation room to not release the files, to “I don’t care, release the files”. There is no way he would agree to it unless his name is no longer in it.
