Thinking about tradition as a lens. Beyond institutionalized traditions (e.g. civics, religion) there are quieter traditions like genre that contain a history of people approaching situations with a particular set of tools they inherited from the people before them. And you can read texts this way.

Lots of despairing talk these days about Dem failures in rural areas. I have an idea for how to start putting a dent in that problem.
