Mankeeping Is Why Women Are Done With Dating

a lot of critics of adam curtis are fixated on a refusal to abandon his style in favour of making arguments in/of the form they would like him to. this has value in pointing out the journalistic, historiographical limitations of the style, but i always find them lacking as analyses of filmmaking

really is so drearily predictable seeing a load of the 2010s-youth-culture-writer turned embittered millennial journo cohort get bang into reactionary 'yookay' drivel. every generation needs a million tony parsons i suppose

There's been a lot of talk about the new HBO 'Harry Potter' series lately. It made me wonder what it would actually be like.

the labour right getting in on such a decisive majority was one of the worst possible outcomes of the last election. there is no moderating influence on them now. the tories and reform aren't going to oppose the policy course they're pursuing, only drag them even further to the right

the tone of every question in this consultation is so galling. "do you think tech companies should be granted carte blanche rights to everyone else's work for their own profit, and if not, what do you propose they do instead? pay for them?? not cannibalise your industry??? show your working."
UK WRITERS: You need to fill in this consulation. Govt is very clearly looking to an opt-out model of rights licensing that puts all the burden on creators instead of profiteers. It's long and boring but this is important.

instead of being driven to murder the ceo of a private health insurance company, luigi should have instead Talked To His Mates
'A man has died – stop talking about Luigi Mangione’s hotness,' writes Kimberley Bond for Metro Opinion

'Instead of checking whether Mangione had a brat summer, we should be interrogating what radicalised such a young man with the world at his feet to have allegedly committed murder'
A man has died - stop talking about Luigi Mangione's hotness
The thirst for an alleged killer feels like snarky internet humour going a step too far.
