Also consider donations to your local animal shelter.
This is how most of your major Twitch streamers work as well.

Success is rarely rags to riches. It's almost always some kind of help from someone already successful, strong networking, sharing of audiences and consumers, or sometimes a strong enough skill/product that gets noticed.

I still can't believe they did a whole Claw-Van idiot bit in SRWT and not once did Ruri interject and go "Stop stealing my old bit."

Since "gamers" have basically been responsible for the last ten years of politics and culture wars bullshit, the least you can do right now is apply your pressure towards AI and take back the PC parts market so we're not paying out the nose for it.

But I am sure you'll just say "skill issue".

🪖✈️ VERMONT AIR GUARD is deploying to Puerto Rico from Burlington right now, aboard the NFL Patriots team 767 (operated by Omni Air International) 👀

Good news: not being used to render shackled human beings
Bad news: being used to take VT Air National Guard members to Puerto Rico to fight and die in a pointless and stupid war.

I finally played the demo for Star Trek Voyager Across the Unknown. It's rough around the edges now, but it's pretty fun and has some good potential.

Republicans and the ACA is like having mice in your pantry, but your husband refuses to buy traps or call an exterminator, won't let you do it, and then when a kid gets sick from eating food with mouse shit, blames you for what happened and threatens a divorce.

He was looking for a blameless exit.

Game Awards last year took place during a videogame strike against AI

The strike wasn’t mentioned or acknowledged despite many VO performers working on the games that are heralded every year and even appearing on stage

This year a game that features AI voiceover gets a podium to accept an award.
studios using AI for voice acting sucks

Ah, so we're doing the opening to MGS2 now I see.

Are they going to find--

The single most politically impactful act of media conglomeration since 1968 isn't AOL-TimeWarner or AT&T Time Warner or Facebook-Instagram or PenguinRandomHouse, it's Clear Channel-Jacor.
People are dismissing network television like they did radio 20 years ago. If a bunch of liberal rich people invested in non-profit independent radio across the country twenty years ago we would live in a fundamentally different country

I've always found the use of the word "based" by people as titles when they have not earned the rank of "based" by their peers to be stolen valor.

You cannot be "Based California Mom" if you, in fact, are not based.

I was told we live in a meritocracy now.

Whomever runs updateyodell.net is a lifesaver. I was able to update two old R420s with ISOs, but I could not find an ISO for an R430. I had one snag where I had to bump iDRAC 8 up to where it wouldn't fail SHA-1 signatures, but after that it was good.

Now I can prep these three for homelabbing.

Gives me the Boimler Pause Effect every time.

Upgrading Veeam from 11 to 14 over the years has finally caught up to me in the form of some weird SQL shit I don't feel like trying to solve. I already moved VM backups into my new PBS instance, so I think imma rip this all out and redo it.

Like going from plaster to drywall. Kinda.

My new favorite way to watch Star Trek is by using the shuffle feature in Jellyfin. Only downside is I don't know how to include all the series. So today, it's #LowerDecks day.

My son has been more interested in watching it, too. He used to only care about the OP.

I heard someone on a podcast this morning lament social media activism.

Sure, but how is that different from social media THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS?

Virtue signalling is still virtue signalling. If nobody asked, you don't need to answer.

Watching the National Dog Show is always a fun part of our Thanksgiving. Specifically, mocking how many different kinds of one name breed there are, and the names they give them.

Or just pretending to be the dog.

WHY YOU KEEP GRABBING NY JUNK? I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!
