Today is the 5 year anniversary to when I slowly started losing my mind during the pandemic and began dressing up as works of art.

As my Twitter account has long been abandoned, why not make a thread of my madness on BlueSky?

This was “The Maid” by Wilhelm August Lebrecht Amberg, from 1862

And the crab effigy vessel is mostly done !

There will be some fine tuning, and adding white slip, but normally no larger change.
I think it is too triangular in the back, and the legs are improvised, but I only had pictures from the front.

Crab! Crab! Crab! Crab! Crab!

Stirrup in place, firming up.

I was very worried on how it would hold but I ended up cutting hole and spout in bias to increase the contact surface (so not like in the 2nd picture) and force fitting it in after scratching and adding slip. Now it might ok.

**New in Advances**

Magnani and Clindaniel reveal a low correspondence between scientific literature and artificially intelligent material, which reflects dated knowledge & cultural anachronisms, and offer a way to measure the distance between scholarship and #AI:

Hi, I am studying library science, the thing everyone claims LLMs are good for.

Spoiler: they aren’t.

I’ll start with a hypothetical based on a thing I have dealt with a thousand times. Person comes in and says, “I don’t remember the title or the author but I know it’s about vampires.”

Trying something new, from an almost 2000 years old stirrup crab effigy vessel from the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston
We will see how this goes...

Waiting for it to firmi up for the next assembly step. Have to guess the ventral part I only found frontal pictures

Second for #Invertefest, three on one bowl.
Australian polyplacophores, an ammonite as foot, and coral texture all over, unfortunately drowned in a too opaque white glaze.
Considering reglazing the inside too...
