is this an authentic fanbase response in new japan? or is it a pushed narrative that caught on? bc when i’ve watched, even the english commentators are insisting NJPW fans don’t like Takeshita… meanwhile the crowd is cheering for him and they keep zooming in on signs for him
Not to put down one AEW partner company's audience while putting over the other, but I like how the CMLL audience are more willing to embrace wrestlers that wrestle mainly in other companies as much as their own guys. The NJPW audience can give "outsiders" a notoriously chilly reception.
