Day 6 goes to my favorite guitarist, the French/Algerian Pierre Bensusan. At intermission during a concert I told him about hearing ‘Nice Feeling’ the first time. I pronounced it with a long I, only he mentioned it had to do with the French city. Oh well, enjoy!

Day 5 of my mission to improve the world through music brings me to ‘Les Barricades Misterieuses’ by Francois Couperin. Originally for a keyboard instrument it’s played here on the theorbo.

Day 4 of my mission to make the world better through music. My hot take is that ‘The Rhythm of the Saints’ is more satisfying than ‘Graceland.’ Both great albums, but for me ROTS just has more range. Enjoy!

It’s day two of my campaign to make the world a better place through the power of music. Today’s offering is by Leon Redbone, a musician of mysterious origin who was also the voice of Leon the snowman in ‘Elf.’ Enjoy!

It’s day one of my effort to change the world through music. I’m starting with Ruben Blades, salsa band leader, actor, activist, attorney and politician. Please listen to this beautiful song and enjoy a Happy New Year’s Day.

Well, it’s been a pretty ugly year. I do believe that spreading a little positivity can help. I am going to post a piece of music that makes me smile every day, at least when I remember. Here’s one to close out the year by two Canadian greats.
