Adelita Grijalva will be sworn in the day Mikie Sherrill resigns from Congress after winning her governor’s race. On the plus side, it should prevent Trump from interfering in the race. He needs Sherrill to win and resign to block the release of the Epstein files

Just saw a car with a Tulsi 2020 sticker on it. Doesn’t get much worse than that. Although it could be worth a lot of money as there can’t be more than 10 of those on the whole planet

Anyone happen to have a copy of Herbert Ershkowitz’s, The Origin of the Whig and Democratic Party, New Jersey Politics, 1820-1837? Libraries near me have it but as a non-circulating reference book. 🗃️ #blustorians

Bellwether gubernatorial election in NJ coming up in November. Voted in primary day today. One of a strong stable of established democrats will likely face normal republican turned Trump shill, Jack Ciattarelli who lost to current governor, Phil Murphy in a closer than expected race in 2021.

🗃️ has anyone who has done any research on the early/mid 19th century United States come across any letters, diary entries, etc. pertaining to Samuel Southard? Either written by him, to him, or in reference to him?

I had multiple 7th graders tell me today they’d be ok with the president having control over what social media apps are allowed in the U.S. One said “the president gets millions of votes so he can do what he wants.” They’re still learning democracy but their instinct is to be led by a strongman

So #TikTok is now dark. Tomorrow, Trump will grant a 90 day extension to the sale deadline and magically on day 89, a deal will happen. And Trump will be the savior of TikTok and hero to young people even though he tried to ban it through executive order in his first term. Trump wins again

@joeposnanski.bsky.social loving your “Why We Love Baseball” book. You mention the climatic scene in Major League. Did you ever wonder why Hayes doesn’t take off on the pitch that brushes back Taylor? He takes off first move on the next pitch. Always bugged me haha

MAGA loser Boomer Esiason is on the radio this morning blaming the state of California for insurance companies denying home insurance to fire victims. No mention of climate change. Not surprising for Mr. #MAGA
