It's weird, the Avatar set is way cooler than Spider-Man, but man I just don't feel any sort of way about it in either direction. Idk if it's general malaise, or I've hit a burnout point with magic.

Apocalypse World (and broader PbtA) was the first RPG system I looked at that wasn't a derivative of d&d/d20 with a serious eye when I real started branching out a decade ago. I missed the 2nd Edition KS, I will not be missing the 3rd.

Seems like a good time for a hot take- i think learn/lesson should work in commander because they follow the same principle that allows companion to work. Moreover, I don't think you should have a sideboard. Use whatever you own, the way Garfield intended with Ring of Mah'ruf

I've been experiencing a lot of RPG burnout. Some of it is that I'm not feeling confident about my ability to run a sandbox hexcrawl of Thracia, and I haven't gotten to stretch my player muscles in months because my FIL hasn't run a game since mid-Summer?
