For a long time I've been interested in graffiti copyright. This lawsuit has a twist: retailer Michaels Stores is suing graffiti artist POSE, seeking a declaratory judgment that it isn't infringing the artist's copyright

I've now marked enough essays this year that I can make a good assessment of where we stand with AI use. I'm pretty sure that a vast majority of students are using AI in some shape or form, but the quality of the essays has also improved in average if I'm marking the works as they are.

I have a sudden bee in my bonnet about learning to use a drawing tablet. We've got an old Wacom tablet lying around somewhere and it's currently going to waste.

Can anyone recommend any good resources?

I haven't drawn anything since I was in highschool and I know that learning will be slowwww.

A question for law professors: If I were to put on an academic conference here at Stanford about Fourth Amendment law—featuring papers about 4th Amendment law, and discussions re them—how much interest would there be in attending? Maybe in January, when it's an extra good time to visit California.

It's actually a light shoe day, with just one Nike grant and then a slew of Crocs. I'm not posting those. They're basic.

okay but hijacking this post to make an entirely unrelated argument that happens to be my bugaboo: if the last 10 years have taught us anything, it should be that "private law" (corporate, securities) is "public law." who controls corporations and the discretion they have is a public law problem
Just a reminder for law professors working in the space of constitutional law, election law, and the law of democracy, Georgia State University's soon-to-be-announced Center for Constitutional Law, Practice and Democracy is looking for a lateral to join our growing public law program!
🚨🚨 Georgia State's Constitutional Law program is growing!🚨🚨

Thanks to a very exciting development, we're looking for someone to join the College of Law's public law faculty, including @espinsegall.bsky.social, @andrewwillinger.bsky.social, Neil Kinkopf, and me.
