According to Citizens United, corporations are people -- so it seems reasonable that this company should be criminally liable.
Michelle Carter was sent to prison for less than what ChatGPT has done repeatedly.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

And these past 7-8yrs, as Charlie Kirk dove deep into Trump/MAGA cruelty, I found his beliefs to be abhorrent. But I find murder unacceptable. We ALL have to grow up & agree that you can find someone’s beliefs to be abhorrent AND STILL unequivocally condemn murder. We can do both. We must do both.👇
Charlie Kirk was like a son to me. Even when I found his views abhorrent. And you can both abhor Charlie’s beliefs AND condemn murder. You can do both. We must get off this road of HATING those we disagree with. It’s a road that leads to violence.👇 open.substack.com/pub/socialco...

I feel like Americans can be sorted into two groups right now:
Not left/right or Dem/GOP, but those who feel safer by harsh "othering" policies and the dissolution of rule of law, and those who are terrified by those things.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good alternative, given that WalMart and Amazon are also kinda evil?
I'm making it a 40-year boycott, just deleted my account.

Dang, I remember buying my first fantasy novel, Eyes of the Dragon, from Target, must have been in 6th grade. Oh Welp.

What can you do?

Don’t give up hope. Dictators feed off your hopelessness.

Don’t quit. Dictators want you to give up.

Punch back. Dictators are bullies, and bullies are cowards.

Stay tethered to the truth. Dictators need you to believe their lies.

Resist. Stand with others.

The gesture he made was a perfect Nazi salute. That’s not in dispute.

Did he mean to do it? Only Elon knows.

But here’s the thing: All he’d have to do is simply say “Fuck no, I wasn’t doing the Nazi salute. I’d NEVER do that. The Nazis were evil. Fuck the Nazis.”

And Elon hasn’t said ANY of that.
