I'm not over here enough. Was reminded of friends I miss today! I hope you'll celebrate with me, on my wedding anniversary, and my Confirmation at Easter Vigil this evening.

Glory to God.

I'm incredibly grateful that my church's Catholic worship includes so many Protestant hymns. It's a fusion I appreciate as I near confirmation.

One of many lessons I see repeated in the Old Testament; God uses those he chooses in spite of their transgressions. By grace, he looks beyond our wrongdoings, and invites us to partner in redemptive work.

My friendship with Phoebe is a treasure to me. Her new book is my Lent read in 2025.
I just started a podcast series linked to my new book, Hunger for Righteousness! The first episode was a lovely conversation about Lent w/ @tracesoffaith.bsky.social

I'm thrilled when a friend who I know to be a certain Christian tradition mentions areas of strength found in another tradition.

We all get some of faith right. We all need grace.

The new year always has me reflecting. What's on my wish list this year? Simplicity. Long periods of worship. A slow and less-burdened walk with Jesus.

I can't stop buying books. I don't know that's its a problem, but it's a truth.

So thrilled to meet @bezner.bsky.social in person today! What a beautiful church he pastors. A favorite quote: 'I think what we all want is a church that isn't crazy.'

I found this plaque on a door in a Presbyterian church and have so many questions

I was reminded of this post today. How many gospel songs do you recognize? Always happy to write for Parade Magazine when they reach out.

Excited to dive in to my review copy of 'Your Jesus Is Too American' by @bezner.bsky.social

'In our desire to remain relevant, we lost our difference, and, by extension, we allowed the very thing we hoped to gain slip away.'

Pride has no place in discipleship. It's difficult to root out, though, showing up at every turn.

I grew up in an evangelical bubble that got excited over certain topics. Some topics were always there, while others went in & out.

It's fascinating now to sit in a Catholic space, many of those topics hardly get a mention. Mysteries of faith. There are new hot topics, but are less current event.

Two things about doing a small Bible study with women who have become dear friends, it gets harder and harder to both get started, and stay on topic.

Regardless, we leave all filled up.

Our family picture for my Christmas letter rotates seasons. Today, we bundle up for a snow picture. With about 5 inches on the ground, it's perfect.

In the midst of Catholic conversion classes, am I still ecumenical? Resoundingly, yes! Jesus knows where to find us, and longs to draw his own closer to him.
