Thankful for DVRs. Too many sports and not enough time slots today. Watching football live and on delay (even if it was SO STRESSFUL) meant getting to see the Thorns and the Wolverines. On to basketball and hockey! Thankful for good technology that we take for granted.

Thankful for spotting these leaves the other day. They cracked me up because they made me think of friends who will hold on to summer with both hands. I don't care what you think I'M STILL GREEN! Even more pronounced today after the storm blew all the rest away.

I'm glad Katie knew how to read before she started school. This blows my mind. Reading, like math, like science, is a building skill. You have to have the foundation right to move on to more complex things. Comprehension is impossible if you don't know the words.

The Court declined to take up Kim Davis' latest "but I don't wanna" case and so for now marriage equity is safe. I'm not optimistic there won't be another challenge from another direction but for now I'm thankful that it's safe.
