Starmer to Zelenskyy: You are very very welcome here in Downing Street. As you heard from the cheers outside, you have full backing across the United Kingdom.

Even my words of the day this week are despondent.

I bought stuff yesterday... from two local businesses (Road Crew Coffee & Cycles, Local Harvest) in my neighborhood. What if we kept it going?

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.

I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

I don't need to watch the disgusting Trump Gaza video to know how heinous it is. Besides, we've always known who he is. BTTF called it in 1989.

I try to accomplish the same results as Superman at the end of the first movie when he flew really fast around the earth to make its rotation go backwards and undo the damage to people and buildings before moving forward again.
I make up lies. Constantly. Things that never happened. People that aren't real. Huge, huge liar. And proud of it.

Dunno why but it makes me a bit angry and jaded to have been on social media long enough to know immediately that an account purporting to be Tim Walz following me is a fake. I guess it's being reminded that so many things aren't real to the point where we can't trust our own eyes anymore.

True story. I was using my Google remote to search for a movie. I said "Smile". And my silly Google voice came on and said "Sorry, I can't. It's pretty hard when I don't have the proper digital interface".

This cold snap is making for more work for St. Louis firefighters as squatters escape the cold inside vacant buildings, where warming fires get out of control. Capt. Joseph Neidel worked one today in Hamilton Heights. Years ago we reported that 40% of all working fires were in vacant buildings.

Well this gutted me this morning. I ordered a draft blocker on Etsy, and I got this message from the Ukrainian shop owner today. I've ordered from sellers overseas before, so I know to expect a delay. Can't imagine what it's like living over there & dealing with that. www.etsy.com/shop/Garnapo...

Picked up my #NintendoSwitch for the first time in over a year. Wanted an alternative to doom scrolling & passive activities, especially as we head into winter. I've been enjoying Don't Starve. Suggestions for visually artistic and learning/problem solving games?

So what do I do to improve the algorithm on this app? Besides following a handful of accounts, I'm getting a bunch of junk under the Discover tab with the exception of posts about cats. And I use Instagram to get my cat fix.

"How to With John Wilson" remains a rollercoaster of a show; at any given moment you feel joy, amused, disgust, shock, but mostly moved by how people are so much more than what's on the surface. Even in the bizarre, there's something beautiful and complex that is a privilege to witness.

Sometimes you get to the top of the stairs of the high dive platform and realize you're not ready. I used to get to that point and worry what others would think if I climbed back down.

Trying to decide if I would want to live in Mike Flanagan's world. I mean, you would get to live in a really cool house, but you're haunted by ghosts and evil forces.
