Sick of being advertised weapons on your DC commute?

So is Ben Freeman, who wrote his Responsible Statecraft column today about the ads from Anduril, L3Harris, and other Pentagon contractors that have blanketed our buses & metro system.

Love this gesture from Penzeys Spices, who appear to have sent boxes of spices to DC customer addresses to be put out for sharing in the community. If anyone in Ward 5 is looking for some Resist! spices, hit me up.

As both the left and right start to question conventional wisdom on defense & foreign policy, one thing I'm watching is Trump's openness to big Pentagon spending cuts.

Cutting the Pentagon budget is a great idea! 🧵

It's about time that we had bipartisan work on the bloated Pentagon budget. The Pentagon:

➡️Plays budget tricks to funnel more taxpayer dollars to war instead of our communities

From "slashing the Pentagon to strictly enforcing antitrust laws," there's room for progressives to hold the incoming Administration to their promises as they seek to rebuild the Democrats' credibility on issues the public cares about.

We must continue going forward to end illegal arms sales and hold Netanyahu accountable for his war crimes.

After a disastrous election, is it time for the Dems to rebuild the party for peace?
