Finally made it to Hail Mary (not the football play, the restaurant in West Asheville where the Tastee Diner was). Loved the innovative food with unexpected combinations of ingredients that strangely work well together. Banh mi burger, blistered Thai-style green beans & jerk chicken po boy all A+

I'll do my part, DHS! I plan to vote in November 2026 & 2028. If November 2026 goes well enough, we might be able to remove one criminal who is also a predator through a process called impeachment and conviction.

I just wish they had publicized this advice for Southerners not used to driving in snow more widely before last weekend's snowstorm here in Asheville and across the Carolinas.

I know you've heard that a federal judge ordered the release of 5 year old Liam Conejo Arias and his father, and that they're now home.
But did you look at the judge's order?

Asheville area folks - go meet the candidate who’s going to beat Chuck Edwards this fall!
Really enjoying being "snowed in" in the Asheville area this weekend! I actually love shoveling snow & it's great exercise, so I've been out shoveling in the neighborhood for ppl who can't do it themselves. Maybe a walk later, then booze, food & the fireplace. Board games? Binge watching? #SnowDay

Just finished reading 2023 Booker Prize winner Prophet Song by Paul Lynch about what happens to one family when an authoritarian government slowly takes over Ireland & civil war breaks out. Compelling, but tragic AF. Given the state of America right now, I actually felt claustrophobic reading it.

Just finished reading 2023 Booker Prize winner Prophet Song by Paul Lynch about what happens to one family when an authoritarian government slowly takes over Ireland & civil war breaks out. Compelling, but tragic AF. Given the state of America right now, I actually felt claustrophobic reading it.
Preparation for the Next Life (film) captures a lot of truth about immigrants. Aishe is a Uyghur escaping ethnic & religious persecution by China. She's smart, speaks 4 languages & works her ass off in NYC. US' Skinner is lost, w/mental issues thanks to the military-industrial complex & no ambition.

ICE shot Alex Pretti 10 times at point blank range after removing a weapon he legally carried & never took out during the attack on him by ICE thugs. Renee Good was shot 3 times at point blank range while trying to maneuver her car away from ICE thugs. Both were murdered.
