Bought this in Aldi yesterday for £8.99. Put a cushion on it and it is absolutely fantastic for moving around under my layout changing the wiring.

I have increased the depth of my 2nd baseboard to 900mm. This is the maximum that is comfortable to stretch across. I now have the concept of a plan for a totally new track layout.

The rewiring of my baseboards continues. I have decided to fit 'snubbers' to both ends of my DCC BUS. Some say that no DCC BUS should be without these, others that their effect is marginal at best, but they don't do any harm.

Call me cynical, but this tastes suspiciously like Guinness to me? I can just imagine some number cruncher in Diageo asking why they need to brew two different stouts.

Considering the outrageous prices charged for ‘craft beer’ these days, imagine my delight in finding a local supplier that offers beer at ‘how many cases can I get in car’ prices. Latest offers 4 x 440cl for £5,12 x 33cl for £10. Leeds Pale is not fine dining, but thirst quenching delight!

Might I suggest if the reason is “emergency services are responding to an incident” you claim delay repay and donate it to Samaritans! Most TOCS let you do this as part of the delay repay claim.

At £4 per can in our local Coop, I was expecting something a bit special. It was special alright, but not in a good way. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I had a beer this bad! My only hope is perhaps this was a bad can and it is not supposed to taste like it did.

I decided a few months ago that really didn’t need any more wagons, so my latest arrived this morning. My excuse is that Brawa don’t make O Scale anymore and their models hardly ever appear on UK eBay. Doesn’t feel as ‘robust’ as a Lenz model, but lovely detail.
