Little update: In the middle of my recovery, I’ve come down with an ear infection 😑 oh well.

I’ve spent the night in the hospital ward, in a lot of pain but the surgery went perfectly! I even asked to stay awake during the procedure. Now it’s just a matter of healing the wound and getting rid of the metastasis if it turns out there was any.

I’m finally having surgery on the 13th. The tests and exams seem to show a better outlook than what was initially expected. It’s not definitive yet, but hopefully it’ll all be over sooner than expected.

I’m finally having surgery on the 13th. The tests and exams seem to show a better outlook than what was initially expected. It’s not definitive yet, but hopefully it’ll all be over sooner than expected.

In the end, it wasn’t good news. It’s a tumor. They’ll have to remove both the tumor and the organ. It sucks. I’m worried and scared, but I’m not lying when I say I’m handling it as best as I can. I even made jokes about it both with the doctor and friends.

One of the things I miss the most when playing FFXIV is that the maps are instanced and not large continents. When I take long trips in WoW, being able to see the silhouette of different zones from afar feels so magical...
