The high priest had held out his hands, palms forward in surrender, and settled back into his seat. To Vandellor's left, Grand Magister Belo' vir had spoken up just loud enough for Liadrin to hear. "Just because you never sought union does not give you license to rush her betrothal." "I never found anyone who would put up with me," Vandellor coun-tered. "At least she stands a chance." Liadrin admonished them gently, "It is too late for both of you. Now kindly stop speaking of me as if I were not present." The grand magister lay back and sighed, muttering, "Blood relation or not, she certainly takes after you." Liadrin suppressed a snicker. The two men had been friends for as long as she could remember. They had grown up together, fought countless battles at each other's side, and there were times when Liadrin speculated as to the kind of trouble they must have caused in their youth. Now, in their twilight years, they reminded her more often than not of an old bickering couple, which never failed to make her laugh.

I wish they’d made more ever in game of the through-line with Liadrin being adopted by Vandellor and then Liadrin adopting Salandria because I love that connection (she could be to Salandria what Vandellor was to her)

Sometimes you create an oc you love so much but you’ve given them traits beyond your capability of drawing and you can’t share what you’ve written without so much context and they end up secret except for to a few people just because you have very little to share 😔
