Very, very excited for this! It'll be my first watch. The beautiful poster artwork is one of my favorites. Does anyone know who the artist is?

And arriving in sunny Palm Springs this afternoon. As Eva Gabor once said (sort of), “Goodbye, pretty life!”
As expected, a line of heavy rain & gusty winds is moving through LA this AM. Torrential downpours will bring urban/street flooding & locally more serious flash flooding (in steep terrain/burn areas). A few damaging wind gusts or even a brief/weak tornado is also possible. #CAwx

@eddiemuller.bsky.social Hi Eddie, looking very forward to this Saturday, as I know so many are. I didn’t know if you saw the note I wrote you last week, asking if it would be OK for us to use the hashtag #FilmNoirClub, as we typically do for our watch parties. Thanks!

Philip knit me a gorgeous cotton sweater last month. Then he started on a complementary sweater for himself, which he finished last night. So here we are in our semi-matching sweaters for Valentine’s Day. 😊🤷‍♂️❤️

A quick shout-out to George Segal (#BOTD in 1934) because LOVING (1970, directed by Irvin Kershner, and starring Segal and Eva Marie Saint) is one of my favorite films from an extraordinary decade in American cinema. If you don’t know it, you should find it and savor it. 😊 #FilmSky 🎥

With current events so grim, Philip and I have continued binging the frothy amateur-detective series of the ‘30s and ‘40s. If you’re in need of a little distraction (each runs roughly an hour), these nine are currently among our favorites. #FilmSky 🎥

First time viewer, so ignore my ramblings, but The Dude, Walter and Donnie remind me of the leads in Altman’s 3 Women – like, three parts of the male psyche, or something that I cannot put into words. Ignore me. I’ll muse on it and get back to you in a month. 😅 #FilmNoirClub #TheBigLebowski

I feel like this film is full of lines I’ve heard repeated over the years, and had no idea they were all from the same film. #FilmNoirClub #TheBigLebowski

I lived in LA in the early ‘90s. Never had so many anxiety dreams. This scene seems pretty much accurate. #FilmNoirClub #TheBigLebowski

To fully understand the multigenerational appeal of John Goodman, I’d like to note that my father (b. 1925) when asked what his favorite movie was – across a lifetime of film viewing – would firmly insist, “King Ralph.” 😅 #FilmNoirClub #TheBigLebowski

Here for #TheBigLebowski, my first time watching. I have no idea how I have gone nearly 30 years without seeing this film, but happy to rectify it now. 😊 #FilmNoirClub

@joelvideo.producer.blue Thank you for the hashtag question. I wasn’t certain if you were posing it to me or Eddie. If it was to Eddie, I’m sure he will answer, of course. But if it was to me, guide me. Is the Noir Alley hashtag an exclusive TCM copyright? We wouldn’t want to infringe, of course.

We took the day off yesterday and drove to Joshua Tree National Park, where we perched among some tall boulders and had a picnic. It felt like there was nothing and no one around for miles, and it was so peaceful – and boy, did we need it. 😊
