Something else new and exciting has turned up in the Croydon Spaceport in-tray: this careers brochure that was distributed via local libraries and labour exchanges (and reportedly dropped into the neighbouring boroughs of Bromley and Sutton on daring 'black helicopter' missions)

I’ve often wondered: why do these people want all the social media attention? I do, but I have a book to sell. If you’re not selling anything… why? Is it an ego thing? A cry for relevance in the attention economy?

Hey look what I posted almost a year ago
You don't have to say "the world is on fire but" before you talk about your art. It's somewhere between an apology for caring about your work and checking a box so you won't get in trouble with people who believe misery is a virtue.

Plus, we know it's on fire, man.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 132678:
You don't need to write every day: you just need to keep your imagination alight. Feed it with books, with art, with films and theatre. That way it will always be ready when you need it.
