The key to success in an authoritarian system is not competence but loyalty to dear leader, which is why so many staffers are not evil geniuses but bumbling lackeys.
This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

Our tax dollars could be going toward support systems for traumatized health care workers. Instead that money goes to ICE agents, who exist to cause more societal trauma.

it’s like the people in charge want everyone to be miserable.
My neighbor is a nurse who sees a lot of death and frequently comes home from her overnight shifts wrecked with trauma and I just think our health care workers need more support because they can’t be expected to carry all this while they all have PTSD from the pandemic

Why can’t we help them

Does our physical reality exist in an objective manner?

With quantum mechanics, we can keep the idea that an objective reality exists, Independent of observers, but there's a whole lot we have to give up if we do.

Does our physical reality exist in an objective manner?
We think of physical reality as what objectively exists, independent of any observer. But relativity and quantum physics say otherwise.

Are these the files you boxed up from the Biden era probe into Epstein co-conspirators and shipped off to DC after you killed the investigation and fired the prosecutors? You’ve had these since January. I call BS.

WHO GIVES A DAMN?

It’s a public service, right there in the name. It exists as a public good for all the people in this country. It’s not supposed to turn a profit, you dolts.

Go audit the Pentagon and see what kind of return on investment we’re getting there.

Nat King Cole releases his 4th and most-famous recording of “The Christmas Song” today in 1961.

Years earlier, songwriters Mel Tormé and Bob Wells had taken it to Nat King Cole’s house.

“Play that again,” Cole said.

They did, but before they finished, Cole said, “Stop everything. That's my song.”

How recently have we understood the Universe?

The Universe has been around for 13.8 billion years.

But it's really only over the most recent millennia, centuries, and decades that humanity has understood it at all.

While humanity has been skywatching since ancient times, much of our cosmic understanding has come about only recently. Very recently.
