We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair — the cavalry is coming! Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, D.C. for the Land of Hope And Dreams American Tour.

Jesse Jackson was the first presidential candidate I caucused for in Iowa. Four years later, I met him at Wartburg College and told him that story. He gave me a big hug. We are, unfortunately, a long way from those times.

RIP Rev. Jackson.

It’s hard to tell which is worse now in corporate America: greed or cowardice.
I wrote about the cowardly lions of corporate America under Trump and their decades-long push to shape the country’s political life and democracy, no matter their protestations to the contrary now. Gift link: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
America’s Most Powerful CEOs Are Awfully Quiet Lately
Trump has exposed an ugly truth about corporations: They’re no longer even pretending to be good citizens.

Wait until 2028 when the US hosts the Olympics. Or the World Cup. Unfortunately, things can always get worse.

If you have a job with tasks that AI easily and accurately replicates — enough so that you can just take the day off — you need a new job.
I keep thinking about that Matthew Broderick ad for AI that presented it as something that could do your work for you and let you take a day off.

Yeah, man, be sure to tell your boss that AI can do all your work for you, that'll probably lead to lots and lots of time off.
